De Homo-Films à Pink Screens (1979-2019) - 40 ans de festivals de films LGBTQI+ à Bruxelles

40 years ago, for the first time in Europe and the third time all around the world, was born in Brussels a publically homosexual film festival. This festival, organized by the Groupe de Libération Homosexuel from Brussels was named Homo-Films and attracted from the 30th of november till the 2nd of december 1979 2500 people in the Halles de Schaerbeek to watch 9 movies, a concert of the french band Trust and a closing party named SUPERGAY NIGHT'S FEVER.
To celebrate this anniversary and to have a look on the last 40 years of festival, d'Homofilms à Pink-Screens, the Rainbow House and PAC Bruxelles invite you, during the Pink Screens Festival, to an exhibition tracing the evolution of the cultural affirmation of the community, first homo and then, progressively, LGBTQI +, in Brussels.
