Atelier Drag avec Les Peaux de Minuit

Upon seeing your favorite kings and queens on stage, many of you may dream of treading the boards in turn, to present your bejeweled, muscular, mustachioed, or diva alter-ego to others in order to laugh, dance, or play… Les Peaux de Minuit is a young collective of artists composed of queer people of colour. They offer a stage and a work space primarily for people of colour, in order to reclaim spaces where they are too often ignored, in order to bring more diversity to the overwhelmingly white queer artistic scene.

The collective is honouring us by holding a 3-hour workshop (including a Q&A on all things drag, scenic presence, attitude, lipsing, and improv) as part of Pink Screens. The workshop will be in French, and will take place on 3rd November at Grands Carmes, at 2.30 PM.

Participation is free, but limited to 20 people, which is why registration is required via this email: info@gdac.org, along with one or two phrases about why you would like to attend the workshop.

Priority will be given to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour), but in case there are spaces left, the workshop will be opened to everyone. Please do not hesitate to indicate that you would like to register for the waiting list.
