Synopsis
Lesbians exist today on the big screen and also behind the camera! This film finally pays tribute to them! They were there at Stonewall, participated fully in the feminist revival of the 70s and the emergence of experimental cinema. They had to create their own visibility and transformed our image of what it means to be "queer". Directors such as Barbara Hammer, Su Friedrich, Rose Troche, Cheryl Dunye, Yoruba Richen, Desiree Akhavan and many others share their stories and experiences, making us understand how, through their work and their films, they have helped to take forward lesbian identities on our screens.
