Angel, (known as 'Mujeron' (the great woman) – also from the documentary 'Les Travesties pleurent aussi') works as a prostitute in Paris. After successfully obtaining his first residency card, he can finally revisit his family back in Ecuador. It has been five years since his last visit, and his family are unaware that in that time, he has completed a full mammoplasty. Angel takes you on an unexpectedly personal journey, to an intimate universe - where interactions are marked by the dynamic of relations between the North and South. The film is as surprising as it is touching

Transforming FAMILY jumps directly into an ongoing conversation among trans people about parenting. It's a beautiful snapshot of current issues, struggles and strengths of transexual, transgender and gender fluid parents (and parents to be) today.
