Open Call Queer Exhibition

The Pink Screens Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and will take place from October 28 to November 8, 2026.
As part of the festival, the asbl Genres d’à côté is organizing an exhibition on the theme of Queer Resistances. The exhibition will be held at Cinéma Galeries. This call is open to any individual or collective who feels concerned by the theme, regardless of status, whether a student or a professional artist. All media are welcome: painting, installation, video, photography, drawing, fanzine, performance, and more. 

The application should include:

• A short bio (around 200 words)
• A document presenting the artwork or project proposal
• A statement (around 500 words) explaining how the project fits within the exhibition’s theme
• Your website or Instagram page
• Your contact details (email/phone)

Applications should be sent to expo@gdac.org by June 15, 2026 (included). Transport and insurance costs for the artworks will be covered, and selected artists will receive free access to all festival films and the Pink Night. In case of sale, no commission will be charged by the organization. Applications will be reviewed by the exhibition team of the asbl, and results will be shared in within a few weeks. More info on the 2025 edition here. We can’t wait to discover your proposals and to collectively create a queer, free, inspiring, and activist space of expression!
