She-Monkeys (Voltiges)

Cassandra and Emma are teenage members of the local equestrian vaulting team. In their fight to be the best of the pack, their ambiguous relationship develops between friendship, rivalry, attraction and control. In the meantime, Emma's young sister tests desire as she tries to seduce her cousin. Set in a rural Swedish village, this original movie is wonderfully mastered. Never shown in Belgium, the movie was very successful in Sweden, and won the Swedish Oscars for best picture, best screen play, and best sound, plus the best feature price in Tribeca (New York, 2011).
