Left to his own devices after the sudden death of his mother, 15 year old Socrates must now try to make his way in life and survive on the streets of São Paulo.
Because of his sexuality, the search for a home or simply a decent life is a very difficult one. Like his young protagonist, the filmmaker Alex Moratto navigates this urban jungle with an extraordinary sensitivity, always on the alert. Supported by UNICEF and conceived together with disadvantaged youth from the São Paulo region, this first film is surprisingly rigorous, with a concern for authenticity that is both raw and delicate.
