Synopsis
Drawing on the legend of the "loneliest whale," this story features a child with selective mutism, and an ageing widower. Bound together by loss and grief, they discover a magic pen and a diary that allow them to hear each other's unspoken cries and find their way back to life. Illustrations by the brilliant Bill Plympton.
