A Place of Our Own

Laila and Roshni, two trans* women, are looking for a house after being evicted from the flat they were renting. It quickly becomes clear that their search for a home is also a permanent search for a place in this society which wants to keep them apart and deny their dignity. As the search for housing continues, we realize that it transcends physical spaces and biological connections. New friendships blossom and help comes from unexpected sources. Fiction of a powerful and touching sorority, painting us a fresco of trans*' struggles in India.
