Synopsis
Stuck in Ostende, Valérie and Stefan are staying in a vast and deserted hotel during the off season. There they meet the unsettling Countess Bathory and her ward, Ilona, shadowy creatures of the night... Midway between arthouse and genre cinema, mixing the fantastic and the sapphic, Harry Kümel's film creates a captivating mood... A film haunted by the presence and the voice of Delphine Seyrig, who provides the hypnotic tones of a lesbian vampire.
