Seventeen-year-old Fatima is the baby of the family, growing up in the Parisian banlieue surrounded by her sisters in a warm, loving home. A bright student, she lands a place studying philosophy in Paris, where a whole new world opens up to her: the world of love and sex between girls. We follow her to her first Pride, on nights out at legendary spots like Rosa Bonheur and La Mutinerie, and through a series of formative hookups, dates, and app-fueled encounters.

La Petite Dernière is a radiant portrait of a girl navigating it all: French-Algerian, lesbian, and a practicing Muslim.

The film, a Queer Palm winner, shines with a Cannes Best Actress award for its star, Nadia Melliti.
