Barbara Hammer's last opus is a portrait-hommage of famous poet Elizabeth Bishop (1911-1979), constructed around the places where she lived and wrote (USA, Canada, Brazil) and around her love affairs. The locations, both landscapes and buildings, are building blocks and carriers of memory. Supported by them, by encounters and by the intimate writings of Elizabeth Bishop, we discover the lesser known facets of this leading poet.
