Opening - Eyes Wide Open

A love story between two religious butchers working in the ultra-orthodox Jewish neighbourhood of Jerusalem. Aaron, the older of the two, refuses to admit to his feelings until these become too strong to be ended by any force, be it social, familial or religious. The film successfully captures the vibrant emotion and feelings of a passionate love affair between two talented, drop-dead gorgeous actors. Eyes Wide Open wins the Grand Prize for Best Film Eyes Wide Open by the Israelian director Haim Tabakman wins the Grand Prize for the Best Film at the 36th Ghent International Film Festival. This was announced this Wednesday 14th of October by the International Jury at the town hall of Ghent. In avant-première at Pink Screens Film Festival, cinéma Nova Brussels, Thursday 22/10 at 19:30 and at Ciné Park, Charleroi, on 29/10 at 20:30.
