An unusual family reunion : following the funeral of his older son he refused to attend, Frederick is forced to disclose the dark secret he has been keeping since the end of the war. The two directors distance themselves from the post-Jacques Demy fantasy -but not too much- and propose us a movie filled with instances of touching realism, played by amazing actors like Catherine Mouchet, who gives a most ironic performance, and Guy Marchand, who is simply breathtaking.
