Sydney, an intersex person, goes to Nairobi to escape from domestic violence. In the Kenyan capital, Sydney discovers an organisation of young trans people fighting discrimination. "Sydney & friends" will immerse you in the reality of Kenya as it is experienced by the main characters who tell it, and share their stories. The film is precious in the sense that it opens our eyes to trans identities and intersex identities by people who are under-represented and of invisibilised cultures, yet remains profoundly human.
