Synopsis
18th century. Anne, raised as a girl, is told she must "change her clothes" because of her attraction to women. Once a man, he marries and lives a great love with his new wife until his past catches up with him... A century before Herculine Barbin, made famous by Foucault, this moving story which still questions our certainties today, is based on the real life of Anne Grandjean, and on the sensational trials that put Anne in the spotlight as an intersex person.
